IntroductionGem-In-Hand Jewelry began while traveling with my husband, an international peacebuilder. We started working directly with gemstone retailers and fairly traded women's groups to buy responsibly-sourced materials for our jewelry. I am currently working with Millenium Crafts, a women's cooperative in Nepal that fairly employs low-caste women. We believe in supporting our global community through fairtrade & sustainable business. We have also begun making reclaimed aspen & pine artpieces using wood from fallen trees in our area. Colorado has recently been hit with the rocky mountain pine beetle, much of our wood comes from beetle-kill pine. Thank you for shopping with us and supporting responsible & fairtrade art. My WorkWhether you're looking for a simple pair of earrings or a unique jewelry set for a special occasion, we have a wide selection. Our cakestand and coasters have also been used for weddings and corporate events, if you would like a large order, please feel free to contact me. |
